Description

Luchaogang Port (Lingang) Station, located in the Pudong Lingang area, is the first-phase container terminal of the Pudong Railway. The train from Shanghai South Station to Luchaogang Port is the first suburban passenger train in Shanghai and is operated by the Shanghai Railway Administration, a fourth-class intermediate station.

Luchaogang Port Station was officially inaugurated on December 1, 2005. It is China’s first railway container loading station and one of the 18 railway container central stations in China’s “Mid- and Long-Term Railway Network Plan.”
